So the UPS man was at my house today, he brought me my starter kit! YEAH!
I of course had to open it right away but knew I couldn't use anything till after Zumba.
Oh new stuff how I love thee! I love paper and stamps and ribbons can never have too many.
This is my first card as a demo again. Proud of what I came up with. Of course I found a few more things I had to have when designing it. I have a red, white, and blue swap this month at an upline meeting and I think I'll use it for that.
Stamps: Make a Cake, Create a cupcake (words)
Card Stock: Whisper White, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Star Fruit
Paper: Patio Party
Accessories: Baja Breeze Seam binding, bakers twine, corner punch, word window punch, pearl (in the middle of the pin wheel)
Obviously I need to work on my picture taking! This is with my phone. My camera batteries are dead. I popped up the cake layers so they kinda look 3d, can't really tell that in this picture.
The ups man comes again on Weds with some new preview stuff! Yes I'm excited.

Archivers Bold Backgrounds Class
Tonight I attended the Archivers Bold Backgrounds class. It was fun but messy. All images have been achieved with paints (no inks). Now that was the messy part! I believe all images could be achieved with inks as well. I also bought my supplies to start on my sisters Baby Shower invites. I have to get those cranked out here in the next week or so!

Stamp Camp
Well yesterday I attended a stamp camp put on by my Stampin' Up Demo and her upline. First off it was a great day of stamping and fellowshiping with some really great ladies. The stamping was wonderful. Here are some of the cards/projects we made.
This card holder purse was designed by Becky Roberts SO CUTE and can be made in any color. We used the Bolds DP and the Manhattan Flower embossing plate to make the flowers. Then we sanded with the sanding block to bring out the embossed area. It could hold some 3x3s and envelopes. Great as a thank you gift.
The next class we did was a punch art class. Thank you to Kesha and Gretchen for teaching us these fun cards! We used the new triple layer punch that is in the Stampin' Up Mini Catalog (Blossom Bouquet punch).
Then our last class was a water color class taught by Sharon. We used the flower for all season stamp set, ink refills, crayons, blender pens, and water color pens.
All of us were to bring candy decorated. This is my ghiradelli squares.

Simple Cards
I had two cards I needed to accomplish this week.
1. My mom took a new job in a bakery a few weeks ago so I needed to send her a congratulations card. Here is what I came up with. I cased it from split-coast here.
I think she will love the colors and the cakes are perfect for the occasion. I'm not the best watercolorer (word?) but I'm trying. I need more practice to perfect my skill.
2. It's Father's Day this weekend and my dads birthday. I'm not very good at "guy cards" so I took this idea from a magazine I read this week. (Cardmaker May 2011)
Mine is on the right. Since my papers were darker I attached the happy birthday to the hemp. I need to get better at taking pictures of my works. But this is ok for now.
I hope you enjoyed my small sampling of cards for this week. I have a stamp camp to go to this weekend all day on Saturday. We have to bring a treat! And I'm working on tic tac cards that I've seen all over the web. I'll post some pictures of those when they are done.
Happy Stamping!

I'm back!
Well I have decided to restart my stamping blog. I have been on a 2 year hiatus and I need to start crafting and stamping again. I will be sharing some of my ideas, techniques and thoughts. Most will probably be Stampin' Up product but I have learned to love some other brands as well.
Please look for some new cards, scrapbook pages, kits etc to pop up here soon.
